An expansion vessel accommodates changes in water volume caused by temperature variations in the heat pump’s water circuit, helping maintain stable pressure. It protects the system and its components against excessive pressure. Without it, pressure fluctuations, water discharge through the safety valve, water loss and eventual component damage can occur.
